Abstract

The article discusses the stages of the new refugee housing typology formation: reserve housing in the context of social conflict. The purpose of the article is to identify characteristic changes in the structure at each stage of typology’s development. The prototypes of the reserve dwelling for refugees were analyzed at 4 stages of social development: pre-industrial, industrial, post-industrial and the latest, meta-industrial. For each of the historical stages, characteristic changes in the ways of organization are given. The identified prototypes are accompanied by modern interpretations. The meta-industrial period is characterized by the formation of a "non-material" approach to the housing organization and its transfer to the virtual interactions’ environment.
It is noted that at the present stage of social development, the parallel advancement of the simplest spatial structures continues
along with the high-tech ones. Two approaches to the planning organization of the reserve dwelling in social conflict conditions
are indicated: flexible and fixed. The functional organization is determined depending on the duration of use: short-term (1-2
weeks) and long-term (from 1 month to 3 years).
