Abstract

The article examines the features of the insolation regime in the Arctic zone of Russia and substantiates the need to develop differentiated regulatory requirements for insolation depending on the geographical location and climatic conditions of the Arctic subzones. It is shown that the current regulatory documents are mainly focused on the conditions of temperate latitudes and do not take into account the specific features of the Arctic: extremely low altitudes of the sun, seasonal unevenness of solar radiation, the presence of a polar day and a polar night, as well as the increased influence of reflected radiation from the snow cover.
It is proposed to divide the Arctic territory into northern, central and southern subzones, taking into account the latitude position and characteristics of the solar climate. For each subzone, the features of the insolation regime are considered and proposals are formulated to adjust the standard duration of the insolation of residential and public premises.
The developed approach makes it possible to increase the reliability of the assessment of the light regime of buildings, to ensure a more rational design of translucent structures and sun protection devices, as well as to increase the energy efficiency of buildings in Arctic conditions.
