Abstract

The article notes that the development of sustainable cities is a complex interdisciplinary task. The urban planning premises for the development of a sustainable city are considered, taking into account all aspects of this concept, which is not limited to economic, environmental and social sustainability. It is indicated that all urban planning premises are reflected in the new concept of a 15-minute city, which is already being implemented within residential villages and quarters of a number of cities around the world. It is analyzed that is being done in Russia within the framework of this concept, justifies why its full implementation in the near future is unrealistic for Russia.
