The article provides a systematic analysis of the institution of red lines. The results of the study allow us to conclude that the institution of red lines is established by law both in synchronous (acting simultaneously with law enforcement) and in diachronic (acting retrospectively, or prospectively in time) aspects.
In addition, in certain cases, it is possible to establish red lines not only in the documentation on the planning and (or)
surveying of the territory, but also in the territorial planning document.
In view of the above, it is obvious that it is necessary to fix red lines in the Unified State Register of Real Estate.
