Topics of papers accepted for publication in the scientific journal «Academia. Architecture and Construction "covers the whole range of fundamental and applied research areas in the field of architecture, urban planning and construction. The editorial board of the Journal includes well-known reputable Russian and foreign scientists and specialists. The main criterion for the selection of papers for publication in the Journal is their high scientific level, compliance with which is determined in the course of miultilevel reviewing of incoming materials to the editors.

Peer-reviewing is provided by the journal. All research articles are peer-reviewed by outside referees. Peer-review model is double-blind, that means the author and the referee do not know each other.

In case of irrelevant subject or manuscript type it can be rejected by the editor without using the external review.

The procedure for review and publication of scientific articles
1. All incoming papers are normally reviewed within 2-3 months from the date of registration of papers in the Journal.
2. Reviewers of manuscripts intended for publication in the journal “Academia. Architecture and construction“ may be invited experts or members of the Editorial Board (Editorial Council) of the Journal. Typically, two experts are appointed for each paper. Editor-in-Chief or Deputy Editor-in-Chief send the manuscript to review.
3. The total duration of the examination of paper may not exceed 6 months. Two reviews are required for each paper. In the case of the negative reviews author will receive a reasoned refusal within 10 days of receipt of reviews. At the same time the names of the reviewers are not disclosed.
4. Modifications of paper may be required (revisions, amendments, supplements, elimination of inaccuracies and others.) Comments and suggestions of experts brought to the attention of the authors to make the necessary revisions. After that, the authors return the modified paper for re-review (usually to the reviewer who commented that required revision). After approval of paper by experts and entering by authors of all necessary changes in the final version of the paper (the paper in three copies and an electronic CD-ROM) will be sent to the Editorial Office.
5. Editor-in-Chief or Deputy Editor-in-Chief can send paper on re-reviewing to another reviewer in case of disagreement of author(s) with the opinion of the reviewer.
6. In the case of repeated negative reviews (after completion of the comments made in the first reviews) paper is not subject to review. In such cases, the author sent a reasoned refusal within 10 days after receiving repeated negative reviews.
