Synthesis of Arts in Architecture of the 1960s– 1980s in Gorky

Abstract

The article discusses the main features of the synthesis of art in architecture of the 1960s - 1970s in Gorky. The features of the introduction of the synthesis of arts on the facades of residential buildings, preschool educational institutions, public buildings of district and citywide significance, as well as small architectural forms are analyzed. The composition and ideological content of the mosaic panels are considered. Its placement relative to different areas of the city is analyzed. An assessment is given of the current state of the works under study, the fact of the loss of the mosaic panel or damage to its individual parts is established. The degree of influence of the work of individual monumental artists on the formation of the technique of synthesis of arts in the architecture of Gorky is determined. Parallels are drawn between the studied objects in Gorky and similar examples in other cities in the country.
