Urban Planning Aspects of Social Connectivity

Abstract
The planning elements of settlement structure creates different conditions for social cohesion. The article proposes to model the planning structure of settlements taking into account the factor of social cohesion, the indicator of which is the connectivity of population. A scale of optimal planning elements is based on models of macro spaces developed in the theory of Cognitive Urbanizm The benefits of this approach are expected to include social inclusion, growth of human capital and social sustainability of communities. Social cohesion is aimed at the involvement of the population in city life, active participation in social practices, trust, social mobility, equality of opportunities for all groups of the population.
