Abstract

The article presents the results of experimental studies aimed at the influence of various raw materials and technological processing methods on the structure and properties of foam glass. The theoretical background to the work is presented in the first part of the article. The processes of batch preparation, including grinding and screening of raw materials, as well as the method of molding samples using a hydraulic press are analyzed. Particular attention was paid to the analysis of the obtained foam glass samples using X-ray phase analysis and microtomography to determine their phase composition and porosity. The results of the study showed that changing the content of chromium oxide and chalk in the composition of foam glass affects its porosity and structure, which is a key factor in the development of new materials with improved performance properties.
