The experience and technologies obtained during the development of experimental methods for studying seismic impacts on building structures and interpreting data from engineering seismometric monitoring of civil facilities are summarized. Methods of assessing seismic impacts on construction objects, issues related to identifying the reserve of seismic resistance of structures using engineering seismometric monitoring of operated objects, as well as solving inverse problems for computational models of seismic resistance of building structures are considered.
Particular attention is paid to the prospects for the development of digital methods for monitoring dynamic parameters of
structures under seismic loads. The structure of a unified digital system of operational engineering seismometric monitoring of
civil facilities to predict earthquake resistance and ensuring the safety of urban development in urbanized seismic territories of the Russian Federation is proposed.
