Abstract
In connection with the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Immanuel Kant (17241804), a unique virtual reconstruction of several streets of Konigsberg, along whkh the German philosopher walked, is being aeated at the Immanuel Kant Baltk Federal University in Kaliningrad as part of the Baltk Valley strategk projert. The ^m^xi'ty of reproduring the architectural environment Lies in the almost ^mplete absence of surviving elements of the environment of the 18th century. and the minimum available pktorial souses. One of the routes runs from the house of I. Kant to the bookstore of I.J. Kanter (17381786. On this way, the philosopher ^uld see the post offke building on the market square. A^oking to the projert of 1730, it was supposed to make a implex architectural and s^ptu^l composition in the center of the facade with a statue of King Friedrkh Wilhelm I (sk. I.H. Meissner). After the demolition of the building in 1906-1907, the delation was transferred to the supporting wall in front of the southern wall of the castle, supplemented by a fountain and a relief (sk. W. Rosenberg). From the monument of the XVIII century. In modern Kaliningrad, a small fragment has been preserved in the form of a semkircular nkhe, rompleted with a шпсЬ! and framed by paired Ionk pilasters, whkh made it possible to take a^urate measurements and, based on the surviving drawings, drawings and photographs, make a virtual reconstruction of the building in a 3D model using modern computer techniques.
