Abstract

The article describes the main stages of the process of creation and development of marinas - ports for yachts. The influence of marinas on the development of the coastal zone as cityforming objects - urbanization catalysts, active and popular public spaces, hiking centers, venues for various sports and cultural events is shown. Modern marinas are the key element in the integrated development of the coastal zone, the development of yachting and water tourism industry. The importance of marinas as objects that provide safe and comfortable coastal sea passenger traffic is reflected. To date, the yachting infrastructure on the Black Sea coast of Russia is just beginning to develop, there are examples of successful solutions, and negative experience in creating marinas. At the same time, marinas have a huge tourism and investment potential, which is confirmed by the world experience of their creation and operation over the past 50 years. A modern marina is no longer just a place to park yachts, it is a center of attraction for tourists and local residents with a variety of interests, requests and requirements for recreation, sports and new experiences. Argumentation is given explaining the relevance of the proposed solutions, and specific examples of the creation of marinas as marine recreational complexes.
