Architect-Artist I.V. Ryangin and the Formation of the Artistic Image of the Industrial Architecture of Orenburg in the 1920s–1930s

Abstract
The article contains material on the development of a long-term development plan for the city of Orenburg and the construction of industrial complexes by the provincial architect-artist Ivan Vasilyevich Ryangin from 1918 to 1930, such as a filtration station and facilities of the Orenburg Water Utility (1927), a water tower (1929), the Krasny Mayak Power Plant (1932). Research is being conducted stylistics of buildings, identification of decorative features, a comparative analysis of industrial facilities by I.V. Ryangin with the historical structure of the Guardhouse (1856) is performed. It is determined that one of the main directions of I.V. Ryangin's architectural activity was the preservation of an integral artistic and figurative space of the urban environment based on the historical appearance of the fortress city of Orenburg. The material is based on the documents of the United State Archive of the Orenburg region.
