Mameshins Khabarovsk Architects in Three Generations

Abstract
The article discusses the creative activities of Khabarovsk architects, representatives of the family dynasty of
Mameshins (father, son, and grandson). Based on the author's many years of personal acquaintance with representatives of this unusual dynasty, their multifaceted and productive architectural activities are shown not only in Khabarovsk, but also in other cities in the Far East, as well as in China (Amursk, Birobidzhan, Vladivostok, NikolaevskonAmur, Jilin City, Hainan Island in China, etc.). Their work covers a period of more than 70 years. As a result of their longterm and productive activity, the city of Khabarovsk has a number of architecturally expressive buildings and ensembles that have become real jewels of the city. Administrative and public buildings, residential buildings, fountains, religious buildings this is not a completelist of the types of structures made according to their projects. The author of the article draws special attention to the architectural school in which the father and his son received their professional education the Novosibirsk Institute of Civil Engineering. Working in Khabarovsk for many decades, Mameshins constantly participated in exhibitions, shows, and architectural festivals. Their numerous awards (diplomas, medals) are the result of the high appreciation of their works. Particular attention is paid in the article not only to the project, publication and public activities of the head of the family dynasty, Efim Dmitrievich Mameshin, but also to his work as the chief architect of the city and then of the region. The analysis and statistics of all that is done by these architects, allowed the author of the article to introduce into scientific use the phrase that became its title. The article draws attention not only to the different types of architectural works of the Mameshins but also to their works of monumental art, joint with the sculptors, which also emphasizes the wide typological range of their creative activity. The article is illustrated with photographs of works performed by the family trio of architects Mameshins.
