Abstract

The article is devoted to the typology of domestic and foreign social housing. Around the world, the variety of housing forms has expanded significantly, reflecting changing needs, values and trends in housing policy. 118 social housing facilities abroad were examined, which were identified based on common characteristics into types of social housing for youth (SYH).

Methods of graphic-analytical analysis, collection and analysis of data from social housing objects were used to identify the characteristics of each type of housing.

According to the results of the study, 21 types were identified, but in this article, we will look at 4 types. Each of these types takes into account the diverse needs and preferences of citizens, which implies the creation of flexible and transformable solutions for apartments and public spaces. These types not only help provide affordable housing, but also create a community of residents. The typology of housing for youth takes into account various aspects, including the organization of urban space, functional features, volumetric-spatial structure and layout of premises, forms of ownership and provision of housing, as well as the status and degree of community of residence.
