Methodological Approaches to Assessing the Value of Lost Cultural Heritage Objects

Abstract

The value of a cultural heritage object is already inherent in its definition, but in practice there is a need to establish
or clarify the value of the object, its features, which served as a basis for its inclusion in the unified register of cultural heritage objects, with subsequent changes in the subject of protection or even justification for the exclusion of the object from the register. The basis of this article is the complex research with the application of scientific and methodological approach in assessing the value of cultural heritage objects of regional significance in Kotlas, Arkhangelsk region, carried out by the author within the
framework of historical and cultural expertise of documents justifying the exclusion of objects from the unified register.
