The Evolution of the Principles of the Formation of Architectural Complexes of Historical Industrial Enterprises in Central Russia

Abstract

Many architectural complexes of historical industrial enterprises of the region were formed over the course of one and a half, or even two centuries. During this time, there was a change of civilizational and technological epochs, socioeconomic systems were formed, and the cultural development of society took place. All these changes could not but affect the evolution of the foundations of industrial construction and, in particular, the principles of the formation of master plans of enterprises and their architectural complexes. The article analyzes the evolution of approaches to the implementation of the development of industrial enterprises not only from a production and technological, but also from a spatial and artistic point of view. The still unresolved contemporary problems of historical industrial architectural complexes are noted.
