Activity of Leningrad Architects on the Formation of Low-Rise Residential Complexes(Mid-1940s – Mid-1950s)

Abstract
The article is devoted to determining the creative contribution of a team of architects to the design and implementation of post-war complexes of low-rise residential buildings in Leningrad in the mid-twentieth century, reflecting the ideas of organizing a humane living environment and creating a special architectural image of low-rise residential buildings in St. Petersburg.Among the leading Leningrad architects of the 1940s – 1950s who contributed to the development of post-war low-rise housing construction, a team of architects was identified who determined the basic principles for the formation of post-war low-rise residential complexes in Leningrad, which included: N.V. Baranov, A.I. Naumov, G.A. Simonov, A.A. Ol, I.I. Fomin, E.A. Levinson and V.A. Kamensky.
