Abstract

The article considers the background, chronology, and results of the emergence in Russia of a new type of sports facility – the soccer stadium. In chronological order, domestic soccer stadiums built since the early 2000s are reviewed, focusing on their architectural and structural solutions, as well as their technical and economic performance. The review examines both newly constructed and reconstructed domestic stadiums. The analysis highlights the interrelation of architectural and structural solutions, identifying characteristic architectural approaches and typological features of soccer stadiums.
