Abstract

The article is devoted to the search for approaches to increase the urban energy efficiency of new urban planning formations. This study systematized the residential development of Volgograd by key periods, reflecting the main stages of urban development of the city. The main types of development of the quarter are highlighted: perimeter, line, tape, point, mixed. A diagram is formed that reflects the spatial distribution of residential formations depending on their construction period. These types of city blocks were used in the development of projects for new planning formations. To reduce the energy consumption a set of urban planning, architectural, construction and engineering solutions is provided. The assessment demonstrated a predominantly high thermal quality of the urban environment (UE). The obtained result naturally reflects the properties of energy-efficient areas as innovative planning formations. The implementation of the work results will make it possible to increase the level of design solutions aimed at creating comfortable living conditions in Russian cities, as well as to obtain a significant economic effect both at the stage of construction and reconstruction of neighborhoods, and in the process of subsequent operation of buildings (housing and communal services). Innovations contribute to the creation of a new look of cities and the use of advanced housing technologies in Russia.
