Types of Use and Socio-Economic Functions of the Moscow Region Landscapes

Abstract
The article examines the role of the Moscow region landscape as an important economic resource – the material basis for the placement of productive forces and human habitation, as a life-supporting resource and a bearer of the spiritual culture of society. The changes in the socio-economic functions and uses of the landscapes of the Moscow region that have occurred over the past 30 years are analyzed. The dynamics of changes in various sectors of the economy and the structure of land use of the Moscow region over the post-Soviet period, the relationship and interaction of purposefully transformative human activity with the natural environment are traced. The reasons for the accelerated transformation of natural and residential territories, the formation of diverse anthropogenic landscapes, the occurrence of conflict situations when changing the functions of the territory are revealed.
