Abstract

The achievements of the multidisciplinary field of scientific and practical activity Earthquake Engineering (EE) are described. It is stated that the specification of initial information in RF norms differs from the ways and methods presented in EE works. The necessity of improvement of RF norms is substantiated, which will consist in the development of new norms taking into account the recognized achievements in the field of seismic engineering, refusal of seismic zoning in points and representation of seismic zoning maps in isoseismic response spectra. We consider it necessary at the first stage to develop a scientific and technical manual Maximum Reaction Spectra for the areas of the Russian Federation.
