Abstract

The article is devoted to the history of the post-war restoration of Stalingrad and the participation of members of the Academy of Architecture of the USSR in this work. The issues of conducting an examination of the destruction of the city, In which members of the academy participated, are covered.
Proposals for the formation of a new planning structure of Stalingrad are considered using the example of competition projects
of various teams. The role of K.S. Alabyan, A.V. Shchusev, I.V. Zholtovsky, V.N. Simbirtsev is especially highlighted.
