Abstract

Abstract. The article deals with the issues of the interconnectedness of education and enlightenment and scientific research, the motives of their mutual interest and spatial relationships are noted. Financing of scientific research, especially fundamental sciences, requires attracting the interest of the state and/or individual sponsors. As part of the institutions of science, there is always a number of spaces associated with the organization of scientific communication and intended for educational purposes. The expansion of these spaces due to their popularity and demand among the viewer leads to the creation of separate, special objects - museums of science and technology. Due to the sharply increased interest in the development of education and enlightenment in recent decades, the creation of such museums around the world is becoming explosive. In accordance with the ongoing processes in science, there is a tendency to integrate museum collections of the humanities and natural sciences.

The current trend is to expand the range of scientific topics presented, demonstrate entertaining scientific phenomena, and introduce an interactive component.

The architectural reflection of the interconnectedness of education and science illustrates a number of examples from the practice of creating museums of science and technology, showing that these objects are currently distributed on all continents around the world, demonstrating a wide range of scientific topics and technological achievements and a variety of imaginative solutions and architectural techniques.
